Over 100 years ago an Italian doctor named Maria Montessori changed education forever when she proposed a revolutionary child-centered education model. Her basic principle was to “follow the child”. A Montessori classroom is carefully prepared to allow the child to work independently and allow for the joy of self-discovery. Teachers introduce materials and children are free to choose them, working, discovering, and ultimately mastering ideas.

Our Programs
At AMA we believe every child possesses an inner force that drives them to grow and learn. We respect the natural curiosity our children, which makes learning imperative, just as fundamental as the need for food, shelter, and love. At AMA our role, as adults, is to observe the child's natural interests and activities and provide an environment where each student can develop and learn.
Throughout our daily routines children are guided and empowered towards problem solving to the benefit of their own development. We believe when a child is encouraged to develop understanding, compassion, and respect, they can cultivate self-discipline and a genuine love of learning.
