NOW ENROLLING FOR SUMMER & THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Once students reach our Bridge Program, they begin participating in classes at our campus Art Studio. These weekly classes are guided by our talented Art Teacher, Ms. Sara. Every AMA art lesson is intentionally planned to be engaging and developmentally appropriate for young artists. AMA art classes allow students the opportunity to explore a variety of art materials, mediums, styles and techniques. In addition, students are introduced to both classical and contemporary artists.
In the Montessori art environment, we offer open-ended art activities that enable children to explore and develop their creativity. When it comes to art, it is the process, not the product that is important to the child. With this in mind Amarillo Montessori Academy has intentionally curated a child-friendly art space that is welcoming, inclusive and aesthetically beautiful.

Sara Adamchak has always been highly creative and loves sharing her passion for art with others. With a Master’s of Arts degree and over 20 years of teaching experience, she has the knowledge to nurture your learner and help them find their creative spirit within.
Sara began her career teaching art at a local private school, later opening and running her own art and nature-based preschool for over 12 years. Currently, she teaches Art Appreciation part-time at Amarillo College and is excited to bring her talents to Amarillo Montessori Academy.
Sara is thrilled to be part of the AMA community, where she can continue nurturing young artists and inspiring creativity through joyful, hands-on experiences.
Outside the classroom, Sara enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing board games with her family.
Every Spring term our Art Studio hosts a Student Art Show. Students, their families and AMA Staff enjoy an evening devoted to displaying student art. This family friendly event is a exciting opportunity for our young artists to present what they've been working on in Art Studio.
Proceeds from this event directly support our
AMA Fine Arts Program.
