Welcome! Amarillo Montessori Academy (AMA) was founded in 1968. The schools’ first class had 19 children ages 3-5. Since our founding, we have grown substantially. We currently provide care for over 200 students ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. Our school campus contains 15 classrooms, an Art studio, a student library, a gymnasium and 4 outdoor playground areas.
At AMA our mission is to "foster independent, confident, academically prepared, and socially responsible citizens, who will be lifelong learners and problem solvers."
Amarillo Montessori Academy offers continuous enrollment and is open year-round. If you are interested in learning more about one of our programs, we'd love to schedule you for a tour of our campus and show you all that AMA has to offer!

Meet Our AMA Office Staff
Lead Of Administration
Ms. Lourdes (affectionately known as Ms. Lulii on campus) began working at Amarillo Montessori Academy in October 2021. Ms. Lourdes leads AMA Office Administration. Ms. Lourdes is a vital part of our AMA community and is dedicated to supporting our students, parents, and staff through her work in the AMA front office and around campus.
In her free time, Ms. Lourdes loves spending time with her family and her many, many animals!
